Unfortunately our engineers have reported that the files need to be reuploaded - we are very sorry about this!! When you are prepared to reimport the show again, send an email to etree AT archive DOT org with a link to the bunk copy with no files - an admin will delete the old details page and you will be able to import the recording again.

Very sorry folks!

Are you going to contact the uploaders? My last upload wasn't affected (just barely), but I know one or maybe two of the people whose uploads were affected, and they may or may not notice this thread.

Yeah, I'll prolly put together a list using the numbers you reported. Painstaking process, but necessary. Thanks again for your help!

Forum: etree Subject: a number of recent uploads seem to be unavailable

This may or may not be the same problem--I suspect it is--but a number of recent uploads (in particular, those which were on hold when the mover queue was stuck yesterday) are unavailable. The message is:

"This show is currently unavailable for download because there was an error obtaining the XML which describes its files. This could be because of corrupted metadata or because a server is down. We hope to have access to this show restored as soon as possible. The reported error is: Exhausted all choices for locator URLs. Item cannot be found."

Examples include Steve Kimrock Band:
http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=26661&from=browseRecent
and the Radiators:
http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=26665&from=browseRecent

I know both of those shows were in the mover queue during the time it was stuck, and now they both show the same, very odd, symptom. Also, neither show is in the search engine. And they've been in this state since last night (since the mover queue started moving again). I spotted a couple of others last night, but these are the only two I remember for sure.

Ordinarily, I'd assume this was just a temporary glitch of some sort, and would expect it to go away fairly quickly, but combined with the mover queue/full disk problems yesterday, it makes me worry that there's some deeper problem going on this time.

Yes, it has been reported. Those 2 links are getting sent as well. If you spot any more, please post a link to this thread.

Forum: etree Subject: found a pattern!

Hmm, I just noticed that all the items reported so far seem to have id numbers in the 266xx range, so a search in this range might be very productive.

Checking one at random--42 is the answer to life, the universe, and everything, and sure enough, 26642 has the same problem:

Forum: etree Subject: basically complete list

I found a little spare time to poke around, and I've established that the affected shows are those between 26629 and 26690. I haven't checked every show in that range (I'm not completely insane), but I checked a handful, and they were all bad. 26628 is fine, and most of the shows above 26690 seem to be still in the incoming queue, but 26705 was fine. I didn't check any above that.

Nice detective work xtifr, thank you!

Edit: Looks like the range extends.. I'm back to 26610 and still finding them...

yes. i uploaded a max creek show, 10-15-99, it passed curator approval, last i saw the engine was copying it to it's final location. now, i have no status, and it isn't in the archive. Not sure what to do at this point, is the show lost? i'll gladly upload it again...

Please reimport the show Stretchy, if you have not done so yet, you will need to upload the files again.
